Need a mattress hauled away? Any mattress, any size! $60 per mattress.
Can't leave a random box spring lying around, so we'll take them both!
Silver Point Disposal will come to your location and remove any mattress and box spring with the highest amount of care. We currently do not work with any charities or recycling companies for mattresses, so all mattresses and box springs are disposed of in a local landfill.
Safety for our customers, employees, and all people involved is our top priority. Handling bed bug infestations can be tricky. We will dispose of any material from an infestation, but certain safety procedures must be followed. Reach out to us today for more details and scheduling!
At Silver Point Disposal, we like to keep as much as possible out of the landfill. Naturally, our first suggestion is to find a charity or person in need to take the mattress. We strongly suggest contacting the charity first before loading your vehicle. The condition of the mattress, seasonality of the charity, and other factors may limit their ability to accept mattresses.
If you wish to recycle the metal out of a mattress, it is possible to do so, though we do not recommend it. To extract all of the metal springs, it could take a long time, lots of knife-work, and very little payout to make it worth the safety risks or financial payout. Instead, find a local recycling company that specializes in mattresses.
We offer mattress removal in Tucson, Marana, Oro Valley, Red Rock, Green Valley, Catalina, Vail, and more!
The first step is to drain the water from the bed. We strongly suggest draining via siphoning the water out, it will go much faster and ensure more water is emptied than gravity-drained. You will more than likely have to lift the corners of the bed to move the water towards the drain location. Once it's all drained, you can roll it. We suggest duct-taping it in several sections to keep it from unrolling during transport.
May retailers sell repair kits for water beds and air mattresses. As long as the damage is a small puncture, it should be comparatively easy. The kits are mostly a patch that you glue and place over a puncture. If the damage is too large, it may not be safely repaired.
As always, we strongly suggest finding a local charity or person in need of items before recycling or disposal. We want to keep things out of the landfills as much as possible. If not able to do so, there is a good chance the frame can be recycled. Silver Point Disposal can take the frame and ensure that items that are able to be recycled will be separated from the parts that cannot be. At this time, we do not recycle any mattresses, so the mattress would be disposed of in a landfill.
Water beds are often made of vinyl. If you have a company that recycles mattresses in your area, contact them to see if they can accept them.
As always, Silver Point Disposal would suggest to find a charity or person in need before putting more things into a landfill. If this is not an option, there is a lot of metal in these bed frames that can be recycled. Silver Point Disposal would take the frame and ensure that as much of it is recycled as able to do so before disposing of the rest into the landfill. Due to the nature of the environment and use of medical beds, we ask that it be sanitized before removal. This is a safety precaution for our associates and anyone else that may come in contact with the bed and frame.
As always, Silver Point Disposal would suggest to find a charity or person in need before putting more things into a landfill. If the bed does need to be disposed of, there is a probability the frame would have to be disassembled. Follow the manufacturer's directions for disassembly. Silver Point Disposal would then take all the items, recycled anything that can be recycled, and dispose of the rest for you.
